Thanks to your generosity, past fundraising appeals have been transformative, enabling us to attract exceptional teachers and students whilst creating an inspirational environment for world-class teaching and learning. Below, we showcase the impact of some of these campaigns:

Excellence for All Campaign (2012 - 2018)
L
aunched in 2012, this campaign marked the largest transformation of the School campus since the Victorian era. Completed in 2018 with a total investment of £35 million, it raised over £9.5 million for projects such as Old Big School Gallery, Smythe Library and Learning Centre, Barton Science Centre and additional Foundation Award places.

Our Current focus We aim to expand access by significantly increasing the number of boys receiving financial support. Over the last 15 years, we have widened access and strengthened ties with the local community. Currently, 72 boys benefit from Foundation Awards and our goal is to double this number to 100 .

Barton Science Centre

A world-class centre for science-based learning that embraces the teaching methods of today and provides an environment where students can share their knowledge with the local community and take inspiration from industry-leaders.

The Smythe Library & Learning Centre

A new inspirational space which offers a variety of flexible and adaptable teaching and learning environments, and which brings together in one home, the services which our learners need to thrive, including IT support, Learning Support, and the Universities and Careers service.

Old Big School Gallery

A space for enquiry and reflection designed to bring contemporary art to the heart of the School. Old Big School Gallery provides a space for a varied exhibition programme which attracts audiences from within as well as beyond the school community. We are grateful to all the supporters that made our first Excellence for All project such a resounding success.

Garden of Remembrance

The Garden of Remembrance has been especially designed to honour those Old Tonbridgians who fought and died for their country in the Great War. The new garden will be located next to The Chapel, on the site of the old Rose Garden.

Chadwick Divinity Building

An exciting, contemporary designed space dedicated to promoting critical thought and introducing the ‘big’ questions of meaning and value which philosophers and theologians have wrestled with for centuries.

Rackets Court

£500,000 was raised by parents, past parents, OTs and the wider rackets community, enabling the School to complete the construction of a second rackets court.
