Tonbridge Community in America

The Tonbridge community in America welcomes OTs, parents (current and past) and friends with a link to the School to join this thriving community. An annual dinner is arranged in New York and the Committee is always keen to hear your suggestions and comments for other events. Also, via the Tonbridge Educational Foundation, our US community are proud to raise funds to support a range of projects including bursaries and School facilities. If you would like to become more involved with this group, please contact a member of our committee team to find out more.

OT Dinner in New York

The Old Tonbridgian US Dinner took place on Tuesday, 22 October, at New York’s Knickerbocker Club, attracting a record 46 attendees. We thank Ignacio Jayanti (Sc 81-86) for hosting this special evening, although his usual co-host, Dom McMullan (PH 92-97), was unable to join due to overseas commitments.

Ignacio warmly welcomed guests, emphasising the importance of the OT community and strong connections. After an excellent dinner, Adrian Ballard, Director of the Tonbridge Society, spoke on the Tonbridge Educational Foundation’s priorities for the year, encouraging US-based OTs to reconnect and expand the network.

Headmaster James Priory updated attendees on School developments, shared guest anecdotes, and presented awards to Anthony Davis (PS 62-66) and Ian Hooper (Sc 55-59) for their service, and to Ignacio for his continued generosity in hosting.

If you're moving to the US, let us know so we can invite you to next year’s OT Dinner.

Support Us

A growing number of OTs and parents in the US are generously supporting the School's fundraising efforts. The Tonbridge Educational Trust (TEF) is a New York non-profit corporation, whose directors raise funds to support Tonbridge School’s educational activities.

It has 501(c)(3) tax status for non-profit organisations and therefore the TEF does not pay tax on its income and all donations are tax-deductible by USA taxpayers.
